In 2017 Wedel Art co-curated IMPULSE, a groundbreaking exhibition at Pace Gallery that examined American abstract painting in the 1960s and 70s. Charting unprecedented experiments in pure colour, improvisational techniques and the sculptural potential of painting, IMPULSE featured works by Frank Bowling, Ed Clark, Sam Gilliam, Morris Louis and Kenneth Noland, demonstrating the freeform and highly innovative breakthroughs in abstraction in this period.
